CLAUDIA LLOSA
directing coach


Claudia Llosa was born in Lima, Peru and currently resides in Barcelona. She studied Communication at the University of Lima, before obtaining a masters degree in Film and TV Scriptwriting at the Superior School of Arts and Spectacles TAI, in Madrid, Spain.  Claudia first began working in advertising and television for Peruvian and foreign companies. Later she started her own production company Vela Films and in 2006 wrote and directed her first feature film, Madeinusa. The film was selected for Sundance and the International Film Festival Rotterdam, where it was awarded the critic's award. Madeinusa went on to win more than 20 international awards and was selected as the Peruvian entry for the Oscars.

La Teta Asustada
(The Milk of Sorrow), her second feature film, won the Golden Bear in this year Berlin Film Festival.
